Upcoming Changes Happening with Medicaid

Attention Valued Patients of FMC:

If you or a family member are insured through Montana Medicaid or Healthy Montana Kids, we would like to make you aware of an important program change coming from Medicaid. FMC was recently notified that Medicaid is sending out letters to all active Medicaid beneficiaries notifying them of the program change. A copy of that letter is attached to this post.

What does this mean to Medicaid beneficiaries or their family members? In short, Medicaid will be reviewing all currently enrolled beneficiaries who are receiving benefits under Medicaid and Healthy Montana Kids. If they deem that additional information is needed for the coverage to continue, they will send out re-enrollment packets in the mail to those individuals. It is very important that packet recipients complete them in a timely manner and return them promptly to Medicaid.

How does this affect your coverage?  If the packet documents are not returned to Medicaid promptly, it may terminate your insurance coverage. That will result in your account reverting to private-pay, which means that all medical expenses will need to be paid out-of-pocket.

If you have not received a copy of the attached letter from Medicaid, please call 1-888-706-1535 to verify or update your mailing address. If you are chosen to receive a re-enrollment packet, but Medicaid does not have a valid address, you are placing your coverage at risk of being terminated. If you have any questions or need help with this matter, please call our Business Office at 406-778-3331.
